The Analytics Manager is responsible for ensuring that the marketing department optimizes its campaigns and strategies through data analysis. This role requires a deep understanding of marketing principles, statistical analysis, data interpretation, a strong proficiency in various data analysis tools and software for conducing ad hoc analysis, and maintaining and updating dashboards across the revenue team.  He/she works closely with the BI team to ensure accuracy of reporting and as new reporting needs come up that they can be incorporated into standard reporting and is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data related to marketing campaigns, customer behavior, and market trends.

 

The Analytics Manager’s primary goal is to provide insights and recommendations that help the revenue team make data-driven decisions to improve their strategies and achieve business objectives. This role also supports the Marketing Product Manager as a thought partner for test design and analysis.

 

Your mission:

  • Data Collection and Integration:
    • Collect, consolidate, and integrate data from various sources, including website analytics, social media, CRM systems, and third-party tools.
    • Ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Data Analysis:
    • Analyze marketing data to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
    • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for key performance indicators (KPIs) to track marketing campaign performance.
    • Bridge the gap between marketing activities and data-driven insights, helping Spark stay competitive and achieve its marketing goals.
  • Customer Segmentation:
    • Segment the customer base to target specific demographics and behaviors.
    • Analyze customer segments to understand their preferences and needs.
    • Make recommendations to revenue team members to optimize segmentation driving customer and subscriber value.
  • Marketing Campaign Analysis:
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and channels (e.g., email marketing, PPC advertising, social media) by measuring ROI, conversion rates, and other relevant metrics.
  • A/B Testing:
    • Plan and execute A/B tests to optimize marketing strategies and website performance.
    • Analyze the results of A/B tests and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  • Competitor Analysis:
    • Monitor and analyze competitor marketing strategies and market trends.
    • Provide recommendations for staying competitive in the market.
  • Predictive Analytics:
    • Utilize predictive modeling and forecasting to anticipate future market trends and customer behavior.
    • Operates as an internal expert on data, metrics, and trends within the Spark organization.
  • Cross- Collaboration:
    • Work with and support revenue team members, product, and engineering to provide supporting data and analytics as needed.
  • Reporting and Presentation:
    • Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations to marketing teams and company stakeholders. Can summarize complex data analysis for senior executive leaders and drives to the "So what's"/Implications
  • Data Privacy and Compliance:
    • Ensure that data collection and analysis processes comply with relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, statistics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing analytics, data analysis, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Google Analytics, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
  • Familiarity with marketing software and platforms (e.g., marketing automation, CRM systems).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Project management skills for overseeing analytics projects.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Must be able to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks is a must.
  • Must be able to create and maintain quality relationships with co-workers, customers, vendors, and carriers.
  • Must be able to work independently and be self-sufficient at periodic times.
  • Requires working knowledge of MS office; including, word, excel, power point and SQL is a plus.

  • 4+ years of experience developing large-scale production applications in at least one of Java, PHP
  • Successfully having designed or implemented medium-sized projects
