Laura Marcero
Laura Marcero specializes in providing financial and strategic advisory services for companies and has served as Chief Restructuring Officer, CFO and other interim management roles. She has 25 years of experience in complex general business matters, restructuring, transformational efforts and M&A transactions in a variety of industries. Ms. Marcero currently serves as Managing Director at Huron Consulting Group. She formerly served as the Chair of the Restructuring Committee of a privately-held travel management company. Ms. Marcero was appointed in 2014, by Governor Rick Snyder, to serve on the Michigan Board of Osteopathic Medicine & Surgery and also served as Treasurer on the Board of Directors and the Nominating & Governance Committee for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. She served as Co-Chairperson on the Board of Directors for Michigan International Women in Restructuring. Ms. Marcero was selected as a recipient for M&A Advisor’s 40 under 40 award in 2013 and received Crain’s Detroit 40 under 40 award in 2011. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan and is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Insolvency & Restructuring Advisor.
