Senior Systems Engineer

Primary Responsibility Set:

  • Administration of corporate Exchange 2007/2013
  • Administration of Cisco (Ironport) email appliances
  • Administration of EqualLogic, NetApp, and Nexenta storage systems using iSCSI, NFS, and CIFS protocols
  • Administration of VMware 5.5 host
  • Administration of OWA 2007 and ISA 2006 servers
  • Administration of parent-and-child domain environment in Windows 2003/2008
  • Administration of Symantec Enterprise Vault and Discovery Accelerator for company email archives and document retention
  • Have a working knowledge of Nagios
  • Have a working knowledge of Cacti
  • Have a working knowledge of Windows Server 2008
  • Have a working knowledge of Linux
  • Some working knowledge of Xen

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5-7 Years providing email services planning and architecture in a Windows and Linux environments
  • 5-10 Years building and administering Windows domains in a multi-domain and sub-domain environment
  • Solid senior-level Exchange 2007/2013 experience in a multi-server environment
  • Thorough understanding of SMTP, TCP/IP, mail security, mail troubleshooting
  • Familiar with multiple mail server architectures, Exchange 2007/2013, mail DB recovery and backup storage
  • Familiar with multiple backup, storage and recovery architectures and software: SAN, NAS, D2D, Veritas Backup Exec
  • Solid senior-level knowledge of Windows 2003/2008 server, Active Directory, DNS, LDAP, deploying automated tasks using Windows scripting and WMI
  • Experience with Dell servers in a large multi-server environment
