Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis

Beverly Hills, CA

 

The Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (“FP&A”) will develop long and short range business plans with management teams throughout the Company. The Manager will also track plan performance, budget variances, develop metrics-based revenue models and perform ad-hoc analyses to support M&A and other strategic initiatives. The Manager will also develop financial models that will assist the marketing department and product managers evaluate efficient methods for generating incremental revenue.  Automating various reports and validating the integrity of financial models will also be a focus of this position.  The Manager of FP&A will interact with a variety of senior managers on a daily basis and meaningfully contribute to the continued growth of the Company.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage the Company’s excel financial models, coordinate Great Plains data with the Accounting department and support FRx reporting for the FP&A department
  • Develop Excel-based business plans using logic-based modeling for projections
  • Develop metrics-based revenue models in conjunction with product managers to track trends and forecast future period results
  • Provide support to understand operating results, forecasts and budget variances
  • Provide M&A and scenario analysis support as needed
  • Provide analytical support to the Marketing and Product groups to evaluate campaign performance, conversions, lifetime value, renewals, pricing scenarios, etc.

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative major, MBA preferred, CPA a plus
  • 5 - 7+ years experience in financial analysis, including development of long-range metrics-based business plans, M&A analysis, executive presentations and ad-hoc support for operating units
  • Prefer experience with an investment bank, consulting firm, Fortune 500 or high growth private equity sponsored company
  • Exceptional management and communication skills
  • Team player with high energy and a positive attitude
  • Organized, detailed oriented and proficient at multi-tasking
  • Knowledge of Great Plains GL and Forecaster software
  • Proficiency in writing and downloading reports from FRx report software
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis as well as in developing data tables and report design for senior management presentations
  • Strong computer skills: Excel (Pivot tables, Graphs, etc), Access and PowerPoint
  • Data mining and statistical modeling experience a plus
