About Me

My career has been a journey both literally and figuratively. I started out turning the wheels of justice as a judicial clerk in Delaware, where I realized there are two sides to every story and in order to arrive at some semblance of the truth you must listen well, learn to balance competing interests, think critically, and question incessantly. I later spent several years working for top-tier global law firms in Paris, Los Angeles, New York, and Washington where I traveled the world handling complex M&A, securities, and financing transactions for clients in industries ranging from investment banking, commercial banking, and private equity to accounting, shipping, software , and, of course, Internet services.

In My Own Words

From my law firm experience I gained an appreciation for hard work, a belief in thorough preparation, and an unyielding dedication to holding the client’s interests above everything else. My career journey has taught me to be honest, ethical, and respectful towards everyone I meet whether they are across the negotiation table from me or at my side. You never know when your paths will cross again.

My Ideal Match

I always make sure to devote as much time as I can to my family. While I enjoy helping people find their soul mates on Spark’s websites, I never forget how lucky I am to already have found mine—my beautiful wife, a fellow lawyer and the most challenging adversary I have ever debated. In the end, my favorite place to be is with my three children, whether coaching their soccer teams, serving on the board of their school or just sharing a good laugh.
