Quality Assurance Engineer
Beverly Hills, CA
A bit about the job
The QA Engineer will work with the project management, engineering, creative and editorial teams to test and ship world-class products. The candidate will be responsible for providing measurable standards for compliance and supporting a range of quality engineering and reliability testing activities related to product development. They should be a resourceful problem solver with good communication, organizational and analytical skills.
Some specific tasks include
Developing and/or improving the test framework, test planning, test design, and test implementation process for Spark Networks
Participating in a twice weekly Deploy Process
Regularly communicating results, generating detailed status reports
Technical direction, mentorship and support to the QA team.
Developing strong regression tests for the entire suite of products.
Targeted Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer
- 3+ years of automated functional, regression, unit and/or user acceptance testing.
- 3+ years experience performing automated testing of web-based applications.
- 3+years experience in mobile testing
- 3+ years experience defining, creating, executing and documenting Test Plans and Test Cases.
- Superior communication skills.
- Experience working in an agile/scrum environment
- Experience in the development of test scripts (e.g. Perl). –desired but not required
- Experience with SQL –desired but not required
- Experience with visualbasic.net and c# - desired but not required
- Participate with engineering in creation of white-box/Automated testing. –desired but not required
