Corporate Systems Administrator
Provo, UT
Spark Networks is looking for a person who has a friendly presence and helpful attitude and the ability to work well with others. This person will need to have experience in offering technical support for multiple desktop operating systems and have a working knowledge of Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. Requires the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues via email and/or phone support. This person should possess good problem solving skills, and be able to remain productive during slow times and effectively multitask during busy times. Be able to work responsibly with or without direct supervision. Job position requires participation in an on-call rotation.
Areas of expertise and experience include:
- Windows XP, 7, 2003 Server, 2008 server
- Mac OS X
- Fedora Linux
- MS Office Applications
- Research questions using available information resources.
- Properly track, maintain, and resolve support tickets.
- Experience with a ticket tracking application is a plus.
- Identify and escalate situations that require urgent attention.
- Update drivers and images accordingly in Windows Deployment Services.
- Support, monitor, test and troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
- Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software related problems.
- Plan and perform appropriate procedures, documentation, inventory assessment, and other procedures related to IT.
- Support and maintain end user requirements, including troubleshooting, account maintenance and training.
- Maintain and monitor Anti-virus solutions and respond to malware and virus outbreaks.
- Install and track OS updates across Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems.
- Linux and Active Directory integration experience.
- Manage remote and office users Active Directory accounts including GPO, permissions, and group memberships.
- Install, configure, and manage VMWare services.
- Ability to support remote users by GoToMeeting to resolve problems and provide training.
- Experience with OpenVPN and Mac, Windows, and Linux.
