Christian Community Manager

Beverly Hills, California or Provo, Utah

The Christian Community Manager is the primary voice of our Christian online communities, ChristianMingle.com and Believe.com, both internally and externally.  The value lies in the community manager serving as a hub, and his/her ability to personally connect with the Christian community to “humanize” the brands, increase user retention, build loyalty and provide feedback to many internal departments (development, PR, product, marketing, customer care, etc.).

Responsibilities:

  • Foster a sense of community around the brands by building relationships within the Christian community
  • Contribute to the ChristianMingle and Believe.com strategies, so that the sites’ voices can be felt through member communications at all touch points
  • Monitor key online conversations in the Christian community, and ensure ChristianMingle is actively participating, being well-represented and serving as a thought leader in the discussions
  • Participate in the strategy of and manage the execution of ChristianMingle’s social networking strategy
  • Identify community influencers, establish relationships and partnerships, and collaborate with our community partners
  • Engage and motivate Christian leaders (e.g., ministers, pastors) to evangelize our services within the Christian community
  • Communicate customer suggestions and provide ideas for product improvement to the development and product teams
  • Gathering and creating a steady stream of valuable content to further our mission to help our members form Christ-centered relationships
  • Work closely with our PR team to get our message out within mainstream and Christian-focused media outlets

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or B.A. required.
  • 2+ years of previous experience in a community manager, PR or business development-related role
  • Portfolio of relevant relationships within the Christian community
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize among projects competing for your time
  • Solutions-driven, able to solve (and excited about solving) problems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and teams
